It’s that time of year folks. AZ QSO Party fun time.
Camping trip is set in stone. October 11th, 12th and 13th. We will be at Timbercamp. Please keep an eye open for our group. We try to camp together as much as possible. But depending on the campground and if there are others up there, we might have to spread out a bit.
Come for the day, spend the night, it’s up to you. To camp for the night will cost you $10. There is a fee station there that requires a credit card or debit card. So make sure you bring that along. If you bring cash, one of us can use our card to get you setup.
Below is a map of the location. We will be monitoring 446.050 simplex, so as you get closer, give a shout out. If we can get an antenna high enough, we will more than likely monitor Rim link as well.
Planned activities is a ton of HF, some VHF/UHF, and possibly some Winlink (our new clubs addiction).
Currently fire restrictions in Tonto National Forest have been lifted, so we can have fires.
It’s to early to tell what the weather will do. In the past we have had rain, we have had heat, so it’s hard to say. We will be posting weather info the closer we get to the weekend.
