Looking for someone to help me renew my ham licences - W5ALR. It expires next year. I have had it 64 years. Don't get on much any more. Over the years I have operated AM, FM, CW, Slow Scan, and SSB. Most recently on 2 MT. FM.
Came here to read your DMR v D-Star blog great site..

Have been out of ham radio due to travels since 2011. Would like to get back into the swing of things and am looking for a club to join. Am living in Apache Junction.

Bumped into your call sign WM7RC while reading the Arizona QSO Party web page. My club took over sponsoring the event for 2018 and thereafter - Radio Society of Tucson K7RST. You have a great web page and look like a fun club to belong to. Would like to see your 2018 Field Day photos if you have some. Your commitment to outdoor activities and at least four radio camps per year is fantastic!
Just saw a post on Facebook "100 watts and a wire" show a board project with your club logo on it. We are always looking for projects . Can you shed some light on it? Thanks and 73 de KD9AUY Stan Stan
Just going through the pages and came across the cactus, and here's me up to my neck in snow...hope your club has a good prosperous year and always have a good signal...cheers Earl
I had a nice talk with Joanne KF7UBX last evening. She was on Echolink and I was on my IRLP 7879 connected to the 9222 Reflector. Sounds like she is just getting started and will have lots of fun with the hobby. She has a Yaesu FT-8800 and it is a good rig, hope she gets an HF rig because she said she has her General!!
Good luck Joanne and have fun.

Stopped by to get more involved in radio. I have interest in tube circuits and basic radio theory and want to learn more! How do I get my licence and callsign? Looking forward to the meeting in Jan. C
Hi,
I am a 53 y.o. Snowbird from Minneapolis living at 96th and Shea in Scottsdale. I had a license back in Europe 35 years ago. I am originally an engineer and never forgot the basics so AA0BA was easy. But, I lack the routine after all these years, and I never operated in the US. Do you have a member you would have the time and inclination to give me some operating routine starting after the holidays, please? My equipment is back in MN but I would bring some out next season. I could repay with lunch/dinner and/or I do most trades and some mechanical work if you need a hand.
Best regards,
Bo Andersen
Just joined the group as AK7RM. Extra class. Enjoy getting out with my IC-7300. Just activated Lost Dutchman State Park with POTA. We also go to Woods Canyon Lake through out the summer and put the antenna into the pine trees and so what I get. When I’m not on the radio I’m behind the camera photographing wildlife at our campsite. Looking at winter field day, not sure yet!!!
